Once you click change avatar, It has a Browse button on the bottom of the box that pops up. Click it and look for the image saved on your computer that you want to use as your avatar. You might have to make it smaller, as it has to be 128 by 128 or smaller

To use a drawing or other picture in your profile go to MySpore at the top of the page, then click settings on the green bar that shows up under the blue bar at the top of the page. you will see a list of screen names on your account. Click change avatar.

Oh and that dragon tutorial you commented on, its not freedom. no matter what, you can never share freedom creatures.. :( sometimes you can share freedom spaceships, but not all the time. Its weird.
