"Avatar2011" He watches water? My new Entry for Sporenaissance challenge.
He watched over water,the reflection of his small native village shining back at him in the cold pond, slightly iced from the incoming winter. He watched the village children playing their make-believe games, like this was the time they should be playing make-believe games! But Ashketawa (ash-ka-taw-waw) knew that they were simply children, they shouldn't be able to underdstand the seriousness of their village's crisis: man-wolves. Mother Shaman had seen a great tragedy coming but her visions were sparse and blurry, the wise woman unable to attain anything other than the village would soon be in a chaotic mess. The village had lost, easily twenty five men. A number that left the population of tribe greatly depleated. Each man had disappeared mysteriously, and never was found.
And now Ashketawa prayed that he would not be the next man to leave his wife and children alone. Though he needed to protect his village, it was his duty! So now, he sit atop the hill with full few of the village and the surrounding forest, bow lying in the frosted grass.
The beauty of the sunset warmed Ashketawa's chilled bones, but sent shivers deep into his core. The man-wolves hunted at night.

The dry and frosted dead leaves crunched under the wolf's mighty paws, Ashketawa wincing under each foot fall. With his back pressed against the rough tree bark, he knew he was as good as dead, and with only one solemn arrow left, his chances slimmed to ninety nine percent death. Losing hope he dropped his bow, giving in to the mighty beast's intimidation, when...
The man-wolf started dancing. And what an excruciatingly horrible dance it was. Ashketawa's head hurt painfully from the one-wolf jive, jitterbug and polka. Ashketawa felt complelled to dance madly and he danced into the forest, unable to stop and like all the other men, was never seen again.
