Description

There were some aspects of Uraghal?s appearance that were simply ridiculous- The reverse-jointed posture, bizarre jointed torso, oversized feet, and even the fleshy tendril ?moustache?. But everyone in the room knew just what the Xadari was capable of. In life, he had truly earned the title ?Butcher of Voln?. He was beyond evil, one of the most terrifying and psychotically violent figures ever to burn through the history holographs. He wasted no time gloating. The collapsed-matter flail soared towards Kerl, and he barely ducked in time. It looked like a short weapon, but was capable of extending many, many yards and demonstrated this by obliterating a hoverlift and several explosive crates behind the group, bathing the warehouse in firelight. Uraghal let loose a bloodthirsty roar and dove at the group, swinging his flail with impossible power and speed into the ground where they were standing once before, leaving behind smoking craters. ?I DON?T NEED YOU ALIVE FOR YOU TO BE USEFUL! KINDLY DIE!? Uraghal bellowed and backhanded Loki into a wall, who hastily reloaded his Party Gun and fired several shots at the former Tardoneshi. To his horror, the charged particles did almost nothing. Nadel jumped onto Uraghal?s back and began unloading shotgun blasts into his head. Uraghal roared in anger and wrapped his flail around the Inquisitor, and flung him through the rafters and into Jikael, knocking the cloaked Eresleite sniper off her perch. Micheal strafed the demon and sprayed him with SMG bullets, only to be blown back by a shockwave generated by the sheer force of Uraghal?s swing. The five fighters carefully circled the cyclopean Xadari, who snapped his flail at them. Uraghal snarled at Kerl, before snapping several red tendrils at the Dzehmuuln in an attempt to assimilate him. In the nick of time, Kerl flashed a dagger at the nearest tendril, neatly severing it and elicting a furious roar from Uraghal. The reverse-joined Xadari stumbled back, disoriented, and Kerl struck upon an idea. ?Everyone, aim for the exposed tendrils!? Jikael wasted no time in sniping off the tendrils on Uraghal?s left shoulder, and Nadel unleashed a shotgun volley into his face, tearing apart the tendrils on his face. Uraghal bellowed with rage and acute fury, and crumpled Nadel into the ground with his flail several times. The temporarily crippled Xadari barely avoided a final blow, which blew him clear of the battle. Nadel struggled to his feet. ?He?s too strong! We need to find a way to stall him so we can get out of here!? As Uraghal continued to stumble about in pain, Micheal noticed a suspended explosives crate hanging from the roof. ?Jikael! Lead him to the center of the room! Loki, aim for the support strap!? Jikael scrambled forward and used her sniper staff to shoot at Uraghal?s limbs. The wounded rebel Xadari roared in anger and charged at her. ?WORTHLESS LESBIAN SPACE FURRY THING! I?LL RIP YOU APART AND FEAST ON YOUR BONES, AND I?LL MAKE YOU WATCH!? Just as Uraghal raised his flail-arm, Loki shot the crate down on him. Uraghal yelped in surprise as he was apparently crushed by the explosive crate, which soon detonated. Nadel, now regenerated, rushed past Jikael. ?No time to confirm the kill, and that won?t stop him anyways! We need to MOVE!? The other four complied, and they were soon out of the burning warehouse, after having mowed down several stragglers. ?Shouldn?t we call for backup?? Micheal asked. Nadel shook his head. ?Can?t. The Mole has redirected all surveillance and defense units away from this sector. We?re all alone.? There was a period of silence. ?We could try the CSPS.? Offered Loki. Nadel shook his head again. ?Chief Harding is probably a Xadari. Our only hope is to reach the High Citadel. The Ascendant will help us.? Just then, several Xadari commandos decloaked on the rooftops. A bellow came from the burning warehouse. ?Shi- RUN!?
