they spawn in swamp biomes,underground, and in superflat.

Slimes arent THAT rare. They spawn in ravages and spawn ALOT in superflat areas.

Try creative mode, set it to a non peaceful mode, and use Spawn Slime. They hop throughout, and if they die, they become smaller slimes or the smallest one becomes a slimeball.
