Description

"From illusion lead me to truth. From darkness, lead me to light. From death... Lead me to eternal life." Such were the astonishing first words spoken by Seeker, Man's first intelligent machine. It would prove to be one of Man's greatest mistakes. Seeker's atrocities are thankfully lost to history, but his actions successfully plunged humanity into its darkest of dark ages- the age of do-it-yourself mechs and improvised fighting cars, clan wars and civil wars, nuclear winters and global deserts, widespread starvation and unending darkness, daily genocide and casual suicide. Mankind would emerge from this period of horrors over 600 years later to rebuild and eventually leave the planet, sure, but the horrors of this time period still remain in legends passed down from generation to generation in the Combine's Migrant Human population. Seeker lives on in dark fairytales told to misbehaving children of a cold, metal monster that preys on naughty children and adults alike, converting them into its own cybernetic slaves of war. If only they knew how true these legends still are...
