Description
An evolution of the Marauder hover tank and the failed Hoplite prototype, the Predator Light Armor Vehicle is a fast, agile scouting tank. The unit is lightly armored and built for scouting rather than actual combat, but is equipped with a 30mm autocannon that can keep most armored vehicles away long enough for the Predator to take advantage of its high speed and excellent maneuverability to either get away, or turn the situation to its favor. The units are so agile, that with a skilled pilot at the controls, they have been known to fly directly into the teeth of an enemy advance and not take a single hit.
Unfortunately, the Predator LAV is quite possibly the last hover tank Iron Dragon Industries will ever release. I.D.I. made the decision to abandon malfunction-prone hover technology in favor of traditional treaded models. The Predator was released because it performed exceptionally in its trials, but due to the recall of all I.D.I. hover tank technology, spare parts are rapidly becoming hard to find, resulting in numerous impromptu field modifications.
