BUT as the Chally has a Tea Kettle built in it is automatically better than the Abrams IMO...:D

If it does happen it'll probably be a few years yet though - the reason we still have rifled is it can use HESH rounds, but these are no longer produced and are getting less useful on the battlefield, so when no HESH are left w'll probably switch.

The main differences between the 2 are gun and speed. The Chally has better suspension (so better off-road), but less speed. The Chally has a Rifled Gun, and Abrams Smoothbore, although there are rumors that the Rifled will be replaced by a smoothbore.

However - it's unlikely a Chally or M1A2 will get killed by another tank as they can both withstand a hit from a 125mm Soviet Tank gun thanks to British Chobham Armour.

Yup, crew makes a difference as well but usually US and British Tank crews are equally well trained.

Somewhat reminiscent of the M60 Paton IMO, looks very nice to me and I like how it shows green/brown camo underneath the chipped sand - similarly to some Gulf War vehicles.
