Description
These medium-sized frigates use a similar build as the Maxid II Ion Cannon Frigate, only they have a different weapons platform and a forward shield battery. This type of frigate is equiped with 2 forward Ion Pulse cannon-turrets, an energy missile array, and two forward rail guns. The rail guns use solid rounds created from energy generated by the ship. Like the Maxid II Ion Cannon Frigate, these ships also have many energy thrusters to aid in manuverability. They are also heavily armored. These are best suited in support roles in a fleet (especially with with Maxid II Ion Cannon Frigates), or as defensive units for planets. Developed by the Maxid II Empire. (Loosely based on Taiidan assault frigates from "Homeworld" 1) 6/18/2010.
