It was canceled because Maxis ditched Spore and I lost general interest. I do Halo Machinima now.

Hey, uh, The movie was probably cancelled because they couldn't think of any real story that would revolve around Spore's gameplay. The only thing that ANYONE will probably think of is the Grox being the main antagonists.
