Description
These silicon based ambush predators can often be found in and around shallow rivers. Their gold coloring and low slung bodies help them blend into sandy riverbeds, where they lie in wait for passing prey. When prey comes within striking range, they use their long tails to skewer the prize. The small spines on their heads are hollow, and serve as tubes to drink their prey's juices.
