Yeah that's a weird phenomenon, caused by electricity in the atmosphere, which causes electrons to de drawn out of pointed surfaces, like ship masts.

god! these things are brutal in the mission! In the end i died via lightning bolt from hell, but i did enjoythese flying around! gave a very nice, undead spirit effect! awesome mission by the way!
