The Polaris is from a variety of ships used in the frozen Norththern reigons near Greenland and Iceland called "Icebreakers". They had a metal bow and a metal-plated hull that was used for ramming and shattering icebergs to clear paths for smaller ships to pass.

In regard making creatures act scared in adventures, click a behavior (aggressive, friendly, etc) and hit control. You will be given advanced AI options, and you can set a creature to react a certain way to certain things. Set them to Emote:Scare Always.
