Description
A sentient bipedal insect species evolved from a praying mantis type insect. They feed on fruits and flowers that grow high in the trees on their native world. The uppermost set of arms are adapted for climbing effortlessly through the dense canopy of the jungle, where flying would be impossible for such a large insect. If provoked into "hand to hand" combat these climbing arms can become formidable weapons. Mantoids are a neutral species, being neither aggressive, nor passive. They prefer trade and alliance over warfare, but can be deadly opponents if provoked into conflict.
