Description
The Fistucarior lurks in the seas and rivers of Anu-3. It will eat anything smaller than itself that moves, and a quite a few bigger things. This marine amphibian rams its prey to stun it, and then chomps down with its powerful teeth. It will also use its pectoral claws to rip apart the unlucky creature. Sometimes these creatures will beach themselves to grab prey on the shore, as Orcas do. Fistucariors propel themselves through the water at high speeds using their powerful tails and fins. The organs along the creature's side are sensitive to heat, like those of a viper; this ability also allows to sense the location of currents, because most currents are caused by temperature differences in the water. A Fistucarior will occasional crawl across a stretch of land to reach a new body of water; while, as amphibians, they do not need to worry about suffocation, they are still in danger of drying out, and are fairly helpless on land. These creatures use their pectoral claws to dig holes in the sand of the shallows, which they lay clutches of 10-15 eggs. The young hatch out of these as miniatures of the adults and eventually grow to about seven feet.
