Description
Elder Serpents are some of the oldest creatures in existance. Certain individuals are known to be thousands of years old. They achieve this old age by periodically going into states of hibernation, which can last for decades at a time. It is unheard of for an Elder Serpent to die of old age, yet their race is nearly extinct. Although they are powerful creatures, they are virtually helpless during their hibernation, when they are often slain by hunters for their scales and claws.
