Description
There were many small therapods that could be described as raptors in the Cretaceous period including the famous velociraptor (which in reality was more the size of a small dog) including the very large utaraptor and deinonychus (which was really the size of the Jurassic Park movies.) Yes it has feathers -- that is a more modern scientific idea of what raptors looked like.

In 2008 they found quillnobs in the bones of Velociraptor and possibly Gigantoraptor, a 17 foot tall oviraptor!
