Description

One of the most advanced cobat mechs created to date, the Overlord is truly a marvel of modern IAE technology. While it does look somewhat large and unwieldy, this advanced and very capable battlemech is extremely agile and very manoeverable thanks to its system of high-powered, fighter-grade booster engines which make it capable of turning 180 degrees in less than 1.5 seconds. They also make it capable of sustained flight at speeds of up to Mach 2.45. Designed by the engineers of the RMC subsidiary of IAE, the overlord was designed to supplement the Hellcat assault mech with long to mid range support fire until ground operations can be established. After that, an Overlord will typically be sent out on search and destroy type missions on its own or in small groups of two to four. Its main weapon systems consist of four variable output plasma cannons and four proton missile launchers. Other variants include construction vehicles, dedicated anti-air versions, long range missile variants, and even a command mech variant.
