Description

Once in a time before time, Paynim was a great demon lord, he ruled over vast armies of hellish minions with an iron fist. He slayed many mighty angels and clamed many souls. It was during one of these wars that he lost his left wing in an epic battle with the arch angel Anandrae. He reigned for centuries with a cold heart, but then the age of man came, and unlike most demons who saw a vast opportunity for corruption, Paynim saw that there could be good and evil in the same soul. And so it was that the mighty demon went into seclusion for 200 years to ponder this paradox. When he finally emerged he proclaimed to his fellow demons, "I will fight for you no more, and all who wish to leave with me may!" no one came, only one demon answered, the Great Demon Overlord himself heard this blasphemy and with a wave of his mighty claw forever sealed Paynims lips shut, and then banished him from hell. Paynim wandered the earth, trying to make contact with man-kind, but without speech people simply feared him because of what he was, and they hated him. So it was that Paynim went into another seclusion, but this time it drove him mad, hated by demons, angels and man, he was completely alone in the world without a voice to scream out his pain. When Paynim at long last looked upon the world again, he saw it a changed place, man-kind had been selfish and made their world unfit to live in, and had taken to the skies and stars in metal ships. So Paynim silently watched, and he learned. He saw new opportunity and built himself a spaceship; he called it Parallel Chaos, in reflection of himself. And so it was that the one winged demon followed man to space without their knowledge. He returned to man as a bounty hunter, living in the shadows of space and taking out his frustration by killing man and alien alike for greed and passion. He became infamous and he reveled in the sway he had over people through fear and power. But as was his way he once again looked inward and saw his evil consuming him. So now he wanders the far reaches off the universe, a new wing he built for himself on his shoulder. He is a creature of legend and myth, helping any one he can find in need, he protects the weak from the evil and wages a eternal war on the Grox. And yet despite becoming a hero he still suffers psychotic fits which cause him to destroy whole star systems with his demonic power, which is why he hides himself at the ends of the galaxy trying to protect the innocent and good from evil and himself.
