I decided to make a three step guide on how to make paintings in spore like I do. Creating paintings on spore is not that difficult actually, and takes surprisingly little time. To create a painting, first you must use a blank frame, like seen above. Feel free to use this, just remember to tag me. Next, you have to select your painting. I would recommend not getting too complicated with what you choose. Pop art and modern art work very well, because of their simplicity. Often it is easiest to just focus on one object in spore art, because of the complexity bar. This fills up very quickly, so make sure to keep your work simple, yet bold. Most of my paintings are completely filled, and require me to find unnecessary components in each painting in order to add certain details. Album art also works quite well, because not only of their size, but their coolness factor. If you are planning to make spore art, choose a pretty simple piece of art, but remember that your color palette is not as limited as the amount of work you do. For my painting, I chose to do a simple exclamation point. Remember in your painting to use the Alt key to copy, and the Tab key for more complicated curves in your artwork. Both of these are extremely useful during the creation process. If you are breaking the complexity limit at any time, focus your piece down to a smaller piece, as seen in both my Lichtensteins, my Georgia O'Keefe, and many other of my paintings.
