Description
These peaceful, hive-minded plant-like beings are the ecologists of Anthis. Minds bonded by a single Queen Elkin, they work more as an ant-like colony than a standard civilisation would. As a naturalistic race, their cities are in fact extravagant and elaborate gardens composed mostly of forest land and large, organic plants. They greatly resemble trees and wear breather masks to provide them with a supply of carbon dioxide, which they exhale as oxygen through their skin. Their feet have evolved to root them firmly to the ground due to the high speed wind storms that frequently occur on their planet, though, other than these times, they walk by quickly sending tendrils into the dirt footpaths whenever they take a step. The Elkins believe that they are "at one" with nature and that they share a bond with all plant and animal life.
