Description
The Wyvern Riders are said to be one with their mounts. Flying with grace and agility, the Riders swoop in with deadly efficiency on unsuspecting prey and settlement stores. Baby Riders (both male and female) are paired with a Wyvern egg as soon as they are born. The warmth of the child's body and the comfort of their beating heart help bring the egg to pipping. The hatchlings, upon emerging, immediately bond to their Rider child. Young riders learn to fly on their yearling mounts as soon as they can walk, yet they very rarely fall off. Perhaps this is because the lifetime bond they share with their Wyvern is more than that of animal to master. Space stage Wyvern Riders have left their homeworld in search of the perfect hunting grounds. Now telepathically linked to their Wyverns, Riders will often seperate from their mounts in mid-air to broaden their tactical options against superior prey. Provide Wyvern Riders with a license to hunt elusive prey within your territorial borders and you've made a friend for life. Deny them access... lets just say there is no better thrill for a Wyvern Rider then pitting their skills against another sentient being.
