-->If you enjoy this creation please rate it on spore.coml-- Soon after the discovery and capture of a life form inhabiting a barren airless planet the AIA geneticists were hard at work duplicating the unique traits of the organism which allow it to thrive in the harshest reaches of space. With its metallic admantium exoskeleton and its hunger to feed on heavy elements the Caustic Void Spider is potentially the most formidable creation of the AIA Hybrid Aranaea Weapons Division. Hot plasma circulates through the spider?s system in place of blood to generate the heat needed to fight the frigid vacuum of space. As the plasma circulates through the spider it heats its exoskeleton causing alternating patches of the admantium to give off a brilliant blue glow. To keep its plasma reaction stable the Caustic Void Spiders feed almost constantly on any source of heavy elements they can find. They have a fondness for consuming metals of any form, especially refined high quality alloys. They first spray an acid on the material and then cut apart sections of the softened metals for consumption. The species has no lungs, and does not breathe as we do so needs no atmosphere to survive. All the gases it needs it obtains from the reactions of the heavy metals it consumes with the plasma in its veins. The Caustic Void Spider is used by the AIA to attack mining outposts, or space stations which stand in their way.
