At first I could not believe my ears. There was no rescue operation? The Homeworld was not sending a carrier? It seemed Ixal's greatest nightmare had at last come true; he was truly stranded now out in the galactic arm. And others were coming! They willingly accepted what he deemed was a punishment. Hoping to endure long enough to be recovered, he hired a scientist to transfer his sentience into a powered combat suit. Unfortunately the procedure mostly failed and the doctor, mysteriously vanished. The destruction of his body freed Ixal at last from the Grox Hive Mind, and he was at last able to enjoy life away from the Core.
