If you got it on a CD, then you will have to use th EA "Origin" software which now has to run all the time that you want Spore to play. Hope this helps.

the downlload is free, bbut you will have to do it from where you bought the game. So, STEAM, GOG, have their own version.

Instructions are stikey-ed at the top on how to download the new patch. They had to update their security certificate and that meant a new client.

Have you downloaded the new client that they put out. If not, go to the sporum "Spore General Discussion"

To get patch 5, go to www.spore.com/patch, then follow the instructions. To use it, hold the 'a' button over a part. hope this helps ^^
