Crystalwolf tried again and again, in vain, to open the door. His curiosity was at a peak. His mind was shouting a resounding cry of "THIS SUCKS! IT WON'T OPEN!" and his day ended in the one failure to operate a door in recorded history.

oh, and yes they do hurt things. Meteorites, Boulders, and Cannon Balls will do damage if dropped from the sky.
