Descripción
The 12m long Saltasaurus is best known for demonstrating armour on its back. The upper surface and the sides of the body are covered with bony plates and studs. It is thought that this armour might helped to protect it from attacks by large theropods. Saltasaurus is also known for its nesting sites and the young they bear.
