In a way you could say humanity would be divided into sub-species. Like were homo-sapiens who are humans who evoled from apes while Homo-felinas are humans who evole from cats who retain cat features.

I've been considering other animals who evolve into humans too. I believe it could actually be possible as long as another creature doesn't achieve it first and dominate the world.
