Description
Knight Lucanos is a bit of a controversial knight among the Court of the Fourfold. First of all, he is afflicted with keildism, as he was born with an allergy for certain Herbs, and has thus been unable to fully complete his nconien ritual. In the inner worlds, this most likely would have prevented him from ever becoming a knight. However, the frontier colonies tend to be more lax on old traditions, and thus young Lucanos was able to gain squireship from a knight in the Order of Blaze Bringers. According to stories, the grizzled knight that took him on saw a relentless burning passion for adventure in Lucanos? eye that they just couldn?t extinguish.
Since then, Lucanos has been a part of many adventures, becoming one of the more popular characters in stories told on the frontier worlds. His biggest feat involved slaying a Servant, a xocal knight who had fallen under the strange influence of the United We and become chosen as their leader. This feat was immortalised as the Rite of Freedom, which has yet to be completed by another knight.
Those who have met Lucanos describe him as an idealist, fully believing in and dedicating himself to the Code of Xocal. His rare physiology has granted him certain benefits such as nimble wrists, making it difficult to outmatch him in swordplay. He can?t take or deal a hit like a normal xocal knight could, for which he compensates for in agility. His likeable attitude and unique skills would?ve likely overshadowed the stigma that some may have about his condition, if it wasn?t for another bit of controversy: As his nconien ritual didn?t fully take hold, he doesn?t have the certain genetic rules that come with it. Namely, the absolute loyalty to the position of the Queen, and the dislike of one's own genetic offspring. When it came time for Lucanos to choose a squire, he didn?t adopt one from a whelp house like expected, instead opting to have a biological child of his own.
Such an act is considered gross egotism, and as such Lucanos? fame fell considerably. He is still popular in the frontier worlds where he has helped people and made a direct impression with his likeable demeanour, but the inner worlds tend to paint him as a corrupt rogue knight who cares naught for rules nor the Queendom.

Great to see Lucanos again, I was expecting him a bit and curious how he'd fit into this new and improved Xocal society. From an underdog hero to a shunned rebel, just because he wanted a child of his own... What a terrible shame.
