Description

One of the truly great flying boats of all time, the Martin PBM was the most important naval aircraft of it's class during WWII. It was the Catalina's succesor. The Mariner served in every theatre after 1942.

One of the PBMs exploits is sinking the U-boat U-158 off of Bermuda. A total of 12 U-boats were sink by the Mariner. The Mariner fought on through the Korean War and was retired in the late 1950s.
