Description
Allosaurus was a large predator from the Late Jurassic, found across North America and perhaps even on other continents as well. It is the best studied Carnosaur, and of the the best studied dinosaurs in general. It is also one of the best known dinosaurs, with fossils having been found from youngsters all the way to old adults. The amount of broken bones in some specimens suggest it lived a rough and tumble lifestyle.
