Description

The R-426 ?Chályps? is a Main Battle Tank Mech developed and manufactured by Veilcorp Corporation for their own army and urban security force. It is essentially the bipedal walker version of their famed VTX-166 ?Grise? tank, as this particular model is armed with twin laser cannons and a biochemical grenade launcher, an armament setting similar to that of the Grise. The key differences between the two are that the Chályps has two cannons instead of one and lesser grenade capacity than the Grise. The Chályps also can only launch a single grenade at a time, whereas the Grise can simultaneously launch up to four, as it is infamous for turning the battlefield into a ?miniature zombie apocalypse?. This model is often used by Veilcorp to besiege Global Alliance?s bases and obliterate Blackbell Corporation?s ground units, although it will need reinforcement when the battle mechs and hive-net drones of Quadra-Tech started coming. When it comes to Veilcorp?s financial profit side of things, the R-426 is sold exclusively for their closely allied corporations and PMCs, such as Kingston Industries (their number one wartime ally) and Ravencroft Ltd. (the one that helps on containing and cleaning up their bioweapon mess whenever an outbreak occurs). Several Veilcorp-supporting countries and their business partners are also included. The main reason Veilcorp refuses to export this model (and most of their war machines in general) to many other nations and military organizations is the same reason as the other three megacorporations: to prevent their cutting-edge technologies from being reverse-engineered by ?potential enemies?, especially since the emergent of ?Vision for a One Sided World?, a powerful international terrorist organization dedicated to stealing and collecting data and blueprints from the four megacorporations to create their new breed of deadly war machines.
