Description

School starts up again tomorrow, so I probably won't be posting creations as frequently. I've still got some creations that just need descriptions, though, so don't expect me to totally stop posting. And sorry to all the people who have commented on my creations and I haven't commented back to... It doesn't mean that I don't care, it just means I'm busy! The Nameless are an enigmatic, worm-like species native to a warm jovian world. Though they lack the means to make formal tools on their nebulous planet, Nameless are able to secrete tough silk from the front of their bodies. This silk is woven into into intricate nets with the creature's forward tendrils, and used to accomplish a variety of tasks. Such nets are commonly used in complex hunting rituals undergone by entire pods of Nameless, and can be utilized to ensnare even the largest prey. Though Nameless have marginal means to preserve and carry food from a catch most of it is eaten then and there, since Nameless feed by ramming their forward spine into prey and draining it of fluids. Due to a lack of solid objects with which to make complex tools, most Nameless live a simple life on their jovian homeworld. Some groups, however, have managed to take to the stars. Uplifted by a now extinct race even more enigmatic than the Nameless themselves, many groups live on massive world-ships able to support entire populations. Gravity generators are entirely unnecessary on such ships due to the circumstances of Nameless evolution, but antigrav packs are always required for Nameless wanting to go planetside. Most Nameless that require dealings with other races wear antigravity supports strung along their back and sides, like the one shown here. Such dealings are uncommon, however, due to their complicated language based on chemical signals and gestures. It is this voiceless language which earned the species its title among more vocal sentients, who will always know them as Nameless.
