Description
(2013 remake) One of the largest dinosaurs, the 26m long Brachiosaurus is also the tallest and the bulkiest of all sauropods. About 15m tall thanks to its proportionally long neck, it could reach higher to feed on the trees than any other dinosaur. It has quite a small skull, with an arch of bone over the snout and in front of the eyes that encircled the nasal opening. The forelimbs are also longer than the hind limbs, which probably made it unsuitable for rearing on the back legs. Overall, these features made Brachiosaurus resemble a giraffe more than any other living animal. Brachiosaurus is only found in the Morrison Formation of North America; people still believe that it also lived in Europe and Africa but that has been given to Lusotitan and Giraffatitan respectively because of their differences with their USA cousin. Despite being a rare animal in real life, it is still one of the best-known dinosaurs amongst both paleontologists and the general public. [Please ask permission if you want this item. My new Brachiosaurus, more accurate than the previous one! Later I'll be making a template of it. Brachiosaurus from Walking With Dinosaurs (it also has a new colour scheme like WWD).
