And for the plot itself, one wolf who either gets a rare-ish skill of a combination of skills? I seriously don't know if this is a good idea or what. Just kinda popped into my head..

For a basic outline, there could be a wolf pack, but not just a normal one, a pack where each wolf learns one of a selection of skills such as hunter, fighter, healer, etc., so the ranks within the pack would be kind of different..

Haha, that happens to me a lot. I always come to favorite the minor characters in my seried, and it's always the ones that die or something. And then I get all angry at myself for making them die and find some way for them to come back.
