i found this on the dyscalculia forum. writen by one of the new members. i thought it explaned dyscalculia so well and wanted to share it. :
"Think of numbers as colors. Math is color mixing and seperating. A equation is like a blot of say...light brown with a deep grayish tinge to it. Everyone can see it and through learning can figure out the colors that make up the blot. Im dyscalculic, Im COLOR-BLIND. I cant see the color, it all looks gray to me. All I can see is shades. Everyone else sees the colors and it makes sense, hell, its EASY, "Cant you see the colors?" they think. The blue tinge is RIGHT THERE, DUH!?!? Heh, I cant see the blue, heck, blue, green, red all look the same, theyre all grey. The only difference I can tell is the shades? After hours of focusing on a grey dote trying to differentiate the shades, I can guess at a color with a similar shade and am WAY off. The paper has a blue dot + red dot. Everyone asnwers purple. I answer grey, I cant see the colors and never will."

hey teecobug i never knew you couldn't see color i bet that's horrible. but your creations are awesome. I understand about having a learning disability i have several and i understand your frustrations my friend sincerely lumpyice:);):)
